Caring for children and youth in foster care is a community effort. Iowa Total Care is proud to be part of the team. It takes all of us to ensure each child gets the care they need.
Whether you are a member, provider or caregiver, Iowa Total Care is here to help. We have useful tools, resources and support available to all our partners in care. These are available at no cost to you.
For Foster Parents & Caregivers
Iowa Total Care has a care management program just for our members in foster care. It is available at no cost. Our staff will create a care plan tailored to your child. We also partner with agencies across Iowa to coordinate services.
To enroll your foster child in care management, call Member Services at 1-833-404-1061 (TTY: 711).

Helping to care for a child is a rewarding experience. Sometimes it can also be a little stressful. Iowa Total Care understands. And we’re here to help. Caregiving Collaborations® is our special program for caregivers. It gives you the extra support you may need as you care for others.

Sign up for your Caregiver account on our secure member portal. There, you can access healthcare information, claims, ID cards and more.
Follow these steps to begin using your online account today. You will need your foster child’s birthdate and member ID.
- Visit our secure member portal Click Login.
- Choose Caregiver from the dropdown menu.
- Fill in the information.

| Association for Training on Trauma and Attachment in Children (ATTACh) Support Group | Caregiving can be challenging. You are not alone! Support is just a call away. ATTACh hosts biweekly support group calls for long-term caregivers. It is geared to those who are working to heal by building healthy attachments.
