Chiropractic Claims Recovery Project-Final Extension

In April 2023, Iowa Total Care re-sent Chiropractic Recovery Project letters for 2021 and 2022 claims that were billed incorrectly per Iowa Medicaid guidelines (see Resources below). Iowa Total Care has extended the timeframe for claim corrections until April 1, 2024.

Recovery projects have completed, but we will continue to accept corrected claims until April 1, 2024, which will result in a payment if billed in accordance with the policy. Corrected claims received after April 1, 2024, will be denied for being past timely filing guidelines.
